    This really sucks. What about users who don’t have javascript for whatever reason?

      If you're running a JavaScript application, it can be assumed that you have JavaScript.

        I don’t get it. If I’m just going to a web page with picture (say a blog) it’s a far step to assume that I have JavaScript, just to display text and pictures.

        Let’s say I am at work/wherever and the policy there is that JavaScript is disabled for (valid) precise security reasons. Then I can’t see the images because they are loaded through javascript. A good lazy-loading method should add value for people who have javascript enabled but should not remove all value for people who have it disabled.
